There was no shared scale for how hard different rhinoplasty tasks are. Toriumi and colleagues surveyed rhinoplasty surgeons on training, experience, volume and self-rated expertise, then had them rate 64 techniques and deformities. Rasch analysis tested whether the ratings formed a consistent scale.
